This climb went on for ages (approx 2 hrs)and was higher than any climb I had experienced on a bicycle. The pros took off as per usual but by using techniques provided in the THE COMPLETE BOOK of CYCLING SKILLS I slowly but surely reeled them in. Which in hindsight wasn't a good idea because now I was forced to lead from the front.
