Hi all,

I hope you all got back from Lanzarote allright.

For those that are interested in a nice and challenging ride in Switzerland in August, please have a look at http://www.alpenbrevet.ch/2008/index.php?pid=epage_course

You will need to fly into Zurich on Friday, August 7th and spend 2 hotel nights in or near the village of Meiringen, which is about 2 hours by train from the airpoirt.
The following airlines serve Zurich from London: BA (Heathrow and City), Swiss (Heathrow and City), Air Lingus (Gatwick) and Easyjet (Luton). Prices vary. BA is the only one that doesn't charge extra for bikes.

Cost breakdown looks approximately as follows:

Flights vary greatly - the cheapest BA ticket is around 105 Pounds including bikes.
Train from airport to the start and back: 50 Pounds
Starting fee for the race 60 Pounds
Rooms start at around 45 Pounds per person per night, (2 or 3 people sharing) but are hard to get, as many of the less expensive places near the start are already booked out.

These prices are estimates and change with the fluctuation of the exchange rate.

Please let me know if you want to come and I will try my best to help you find rooms.
